  • Connor Fiddler
Connor Fiddler “Nearly half of the Indo-Pacific appropriations directly reinforce the submarine industrial base. While this investment will enhance deterrence in the Indo-Pacific, the immediate impact will be supporting the American economy.” 2 hours ago
  • Chen Jining
Chen Jining “Whether China and the U.S. choose cooperation or confrontation, it affects the well-being of both peoples, of both nations, and also the future of humanity.” 5 hours ago
  • Xi Jinping
Xi Jinping “I proposed mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation to be the three overarching principles. They are both lessons learned from the past and a guide for the future.” 6 hours ago
  • Xie Tao
Xie Tao “China knows that it likely has little room to sway the United States on trade. The Chinese government seems to be putting its focus on people-to-people exchanges. The Chinese government is really investing a lot of energy in shaping the future generation of Americans' view of China.” 6 hours ago
  • Yi Wang
Yi Wang “The United States has adopted an endless stream of measures to suppress China's economy, trade, science and technology. This is not fair competition but containment, and is not removing risks but creating risks.” 6 hours ago
  • Antony Blinken
Antony Blinken “China alone is producing more than 100 percent of global demand for products like solar panels and electric vehicles, and was responsible for one-third of global production but only one-tenth of global demand. This is a movie that we've seen before, and we know how it ends. With American businesses shuttered and American jobs lost.” 6 hours ago
  • Antony Blinken
Antony Blinken “Russia would struggle to sustain its assault on Ukraine without China's support. I made clear that if China does not address this problem, we will.” 6 hours ago
  • Bernie Sanders
Bernie Sanders “No, Mr Netanyahu. It is not anti-Semitic or pro-Hamas to point out that in a little over six months your extremist government has killed 34,000 Palestinians and wounded more than 77,000 - 70 percent of whom are women and children.” 6 hours ago

“The United States and our allies are prepared for any contingency, any eventuality. We're prepared to keep moving forward down the diplomatic path in good faith, and we're prepared to respond to fresh acts. And beyond that, all we can do is get ready. And we are ready.”

“Spoke to Albin Kurti and Aleksandar Vucic yesterday regarding the collection of votes in Kosovo for Sunday's constitutional referendum in Serbia. Collection of votes in the past has taken place through facilitation of the OSCE. People should be able to exercise their right to vote.”

“The timing of the fresh sanctions appears to be the U.S. response to the North's recent missile tests, and as it covers those believed to have played their role in securing goods for missile programs, it is directly targeting North Korea's missile programs, and also sends a message to Russia and China, too. The U.S. knows that its proposal for additional U.N. sanctions will not be passed right away, given that it requires agreement from Russia and China. It is closer to the U.S. preparing for further North Korean provocations and sending a message that it will take action for action.”

“If we see that omicron cases [in Western countries] are generally mild, we need to remember that those are countries where most older people are vaccinated. I certainly wouldn't assume that everything will pass as easily here.”

“For the US, a joint declaration is acceptable if it is going to lead to meaningful and substantial progress with regards to North Korea's denuclearisation. But this declaration is not really closely connected with making progress on that front. And for North Korea, agreeing upon a joint declaration must lead to some substantial benefits. What North Korea wants the most is sanctions relief. But that is not something that the South Korean government can decide. So, unless there are guaranteed benefits, the North Korean government will not find that proposal attractive. This has been a long shot, a very long shot from the beginning.”

“If we don't hear constructive response to our proposals within a reasonable timeframe and aggressive behaviour towards [Russia] continues, we'll have to take necessary measures to ensure strategic balance and eliminate unacceptable threats to our national security.”

“It seems that the risk of war in the OSCE area is now greater than ever before in the last 30 years. For several weeks, we have been faced with the prospect of a major military escalation in Eastern Europe. We should focus on a peaceful resolution of the conflict in and around Ukraine.”
