  • Alexey Maslov
Alexey Maslov “We value the stability of Russia-China relations. The one word I can use to describe our relationship is 'trust.' That's very important because if you look at the cooperation with the Western countries, we don't have, and we have never had, mutual trust. But with China, we have a mutual trust. Our cooperation during the last two years developed very fast. The two countries could deepen cooperation in finance and banking, as well as in sci-tech and investment.” 2 minutes ago
  • Cui Heng
Cui Heng “The world will pay attention to the meeting between the top leaders of the two countries to see how China-Russia relations can be promoted to a new height, as strategic ties between the two major powers will greatly affect the international arena.” 5 minutes ago
  • Dmitry Peskov
Dmitry Peskov “We see an unveiled intervention in the internal affairs of Georgia from the outside. This is an internal matter of Georgia. We do not want to interfere there in any way.” 9 minutes ago
  • Charles Michel
Charles Michel “If they want to join the EU, they have to respect the fundamental principles of the rule of law and the democratic principles.” 11 minutes ago
  • Antony Blinken
Antony Blinken “Under our own ten-year agreement, the United States will support the defence and security across a range of essential capabilities - from its air force to its air defence, from drones to demining. If Russia or anyone else were to attack Ukraine, we will work with Ukraine immediately at the highest levels to coordinate how to help you beat back the threat.” 4 hours ago
  • Aleksey Kushch
Aleksey Kushch “This is an unexpected, but, unfortunately for Ukraine, a very effective move. Unlike many top Russian officials, Belousov has not been involved in corruption scandals and has a reputation as a workaholic technocrat and a devout Orthodox Christian. Putin wants him to clean the Augean stables of the defence ministry so that military spending spearheads the resurgence of Russia's economy. The effectiveness of Russia's military-industrial complex will be boosted, and instead of being a 'black hole' of budget spendings, the defence ministry may become a driver of economic growth, when war spendings stimulate the growth of Russia's GDP.” 7 hours ago

“AUKUS will bring more unstable factors to the Western Pacific since the trio may have more provocative actions. The US is trying to rope in more countries into the Western Pacific and Indo-Pacific regions to contain its strategic competitors. This may have a negative impact on China's maritime security. Against this backdrop, the China-Russia joint naval drill includes new subjects and displays high levels of mutual trust. China has a strong and reliable partner in the Western Pacific: Russia. This time, China has sent its most advanced 10,000-ton-class Type 055 large destroyer, while Russia dispatched the main force of its Pacific Fleet. This demonstrates that China and Russia attach great importance to defense cooperation.”

“China is a pacing threat. I worry about China's intentions. It doesn't make a difference to me, whether it is tomorrow, next year or whether it is in six years. At Pacific Fleet and Indo-Pacific Command we have a duty to be ready to respond to threats to U.S. security. That duty includes delivering a fleet capable of thwarting any effort on the part of the Chinese to upend that [world] order, to include the unification by force of Taiwan to the People's Republic of China. But I also feel confident in our Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen … as well as our operational designs to thwart such an effort with the teamwork of our allies and partners.”

“The Pacific Fleet's Admiral Vinogradov anti-submarine destroyer used an international communication channel to warn the foreign vessel that such actions were unacceptable and the violator could be driven out of the country's territorial waters in a ramming maneuver. After the warning was issued and the Admiral Vinogradov changed its course, the USS John S. McCain destroyer returned to international waters. By conducting this operation, the United States demonstrated that these waters are not Russia's territorial sea and that the United States does not acquiesce in Russia's claim that Peter the Great is a 'historic bay' under international law”
